One Day At A Time

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit. Rest if you must but Don't You Quit!

Life is queer with it's twists and turns, as every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When you might have won if you stick it out; Don't give up though the pace seems slow- You may succeed with another Blow.

Often the goal is nearer than it seems to the faint and faltering man, Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the Victor's Cup And he learned to late when the night slipped down How close he was to the Golden Crown

Success is failure turned inside out- The Silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and you never can tell how close you are it may be near when it seems so far, So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit- It's when things seem worst that You Must Not Quit. I've had this broken key chain since 2008. I was two years into my wilderness experience. I remember when I purchased it. I had left church service and I was tired and frustrated. I stopped at family dollar on my way home to get something to drink and when I got to the check out counter I saw this little key chain that only cost a dollar with One Day At  A Time on it. I had no idea on the other side it had this poem Don't Quit on it until I got into my vehicle. I remember crying my eyes out but I wiped my tears and I asked God to give me strength to keep going. That was thirteen years ago. A lot has transpired since then. I was looking threw my purse and I found this today and so here it is me giving it another blow!!!
